Just read here-https://www.thelocal.es/20220916/spain-extends-covid-restrictions-for-travellers-from-non-eu-countries/- that they have been extended until at least November 15. I guess I will have to finish filling out my health locator form tomorrow. :(
We had been hoping for the restrictions to be lifted, but took the booster last week as waiting until Sept 1 to hear anything didn't seem prudent. Since you need 14 days from the last booster we would have been cutting a bit too close to our flight date. :)

Mea culpa, poor word choice. A traveler in the 90 day recovery window can test, but there is no requirement to test to return to the US under those circumstances. I would not even use a less sensitive test as there is always the possibility of a positive result due to the virus remnants...
Your original post only said that you tested negative. Hopefully since October of last year the airlines have seen more of this type of exemption to testing. I guess we could wait longer than 90 days to travel, but we have already waited so many days...... I don't know how much longer we can...
I think it may have been a problem because you have to have had a positive test with the letter showing proof of infection and clearance from a PCP. I tested negative early last week probably because I was asymptomatic when tested. Three days later and feeling just terrible, the test was...
As I sit here feeling just awful with a Covid positive household I got to thinking. (Not that I can think very well with the brain fog that goes along with this.) My husband and I just tested positive for Covid 19. The Centers for Disease Control tells me that I cannot test for 90 days because I...
You cannot vaccinate or count that percentage of the population that cannot take the vaccine because it has yet to be approved for them to take, so you can only truly look at those eligible. If you want to look at percentage of total population It would seem then that Spain and Portugal have...
We are doing pretty well. As of today the CDC Covid tracker show 75.8% of 12 and older (all the ages that are eligible have had at least one vaccination shot. 65.4% of that same group is fully vaccinated. We are gaining ground bit by bit. In the golden oldie population of which my husband and I...
I have been walking virtual treks as well in the last year, both home here in WV, and on caminos. I have walked around the perimeter of my state, I walked the Camino Frances, and am now on my way back to SDC from Finisterre and Muxia. I have used these virtual walks to motivate me daily to keep...
Spain 63.9% vaccinated over the age of 12, and 57% of total population. There are also some regions that have even higher vaccination rates.

Canada is 58% fully vaccinated with 70% at least one dose...
I think "willingness" of a population to vaccinate as reflected in some rates is important to reducing transmission in that population. I was not at all referring to individuals who will/will not vaccinate. 😔 I did not mean to go there!!
I just checked our West Virginia state statistics and they also reflect those from the CDC- over the age of 12 the rates are 56 and 68% as well. I would think then those who have received one dose will get the second dose thereby increasing the percentage of those fully vaccinated. I am assuming...
https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/index.html#vaccinations as of this morning.
According to this chart 49.5% of the US population is totally vaccinated, and 54.7% have at least one dose. In addition 57.9% of the population over the age of 12 is fully vaccinated while 67.1% have had at...
Everyone arriving in the US, both citizens and non-citizens are required to have a COVID test before arriving here per a Presidential Executive Order- 21Jan21. This has not been changed. We can only hope the situation will become reciprocal with vaccination soon...
This article just came across my news, but I cannot read it as I do not subscribe to the NY Times. Perhaps someone does or it is published elsewhere as well:
E.U. Set to Let Vaccinated U.S. Tourists Visit This Summer

At least in West Virginia, the vaccination process is going very well. My husband and I received our second shots in the middle of March, and our 25 year old son just received his second shot this week. We have vaccinated about 55% of our county residents, and while the health department is...
I think so. Positive tests are falling drastically, and vaccinations are increasing. Our state has vaccinated almost 1/3 of our population with at least the first dose. We both get our second next week. The infrastructure set up here has the ability to vaccinate 3X the number of vaccines we are...
I received an email today from Seven Corners a health insurance travel company that we have used. They are writing policies that cover health related expenses up to $100,000. I do not know about trip cancellation or interruption as we do not purchase those parts. The email says they will cover...
