    Walking solo.

HI Roisin, I walked the ingles in 2015 and i really enjoyed it. Very quiet and marked very well. I stayed in public albergues. The public albergues are very nice. I believe July is busy time of the year and it seems that you are walking close to feast of St James so not sure you'll have the...

I stopped over at Porto, Portugal prior heading to Lisbon. The town didn't disappoint me. Very a nice town to walk around and wander.

    Camino Ingles from A coruna

Sorry to hear that you didn't like CI. I hear your concern about being alone. Since i am a male so this could be the reason I dont have the same concern. I walked alone and really enjoyed the quietness and routes on my own. I did like seeing other pilgrims along the route for short time and...

Ferrol to Finisterra .... (and beyond?)

@Rhun Leeding agree. It was my first camino but i was very happy to have chosen this route. I enjoyed being alone during the walk; it gave me time reflect, enjoy the scenery and then spend night time and chat with other pilgrims at the albergue.

Ferrol to Finisterra .... (and beyond?)

The challenge in Hospital de Bruma if you're staying at the albergue is access to food if you arrive late in the afternoon. At least that's when I was there in May 2015. However, i saw lately in this forum that there's a newly opened restaurant near the albergue.

    Camino Ingles - August 2016

HI @Lorentz You need a phone in case you come to the albergue and no one is there, you need to call the number posted on the door. I walked in springtime so some albergues were closed and I called the hospitarelo to open the albergue. I doubt that this will happen in summer time which is a...

8 Days on the Camino Ingles?

hi @David Egglestone I did camino inlges in 2015 starting at Ferrol to earn a certificate. CI is a good route with a bit of challenge itself. I did a 7 day walk taking shorter distance since it was my first time. 8 days more than enough.

    Sello in Ferrol?

HI @Sansthing there are 2 tourist offices in Ferrol. The one near the camino ingles marker at the port only opens on weekend. The one near plaza espana should be open on week days (Rúa Magdalena, 12, 15402 Ferrol, A Coruña, A Coruña, Spain). That's where i got mine. I walked down at the port...

Ingles -vs- other short route options?

hi @Silverton here's the guide to accomodation on inlges: http://www.gronze.com/camino-ingles I find that neda and betanzos quite plenty of bed more than 26 and the rest about 20 beds. If you have a big group you may need to arrive early to secure a bed. Buen Camino!
