I also carry a rain skirt. Have carried on two trips to Spain and used on Pacific Crest Trail and Appalacian Trail. It also provides a wrap-around after a shower or while doing laundry, if necessary. Weights less than 3 oz.
I've used a Sea To Summit travel towel for many caminos. Its 100% polyester and weights 4.86 ozs in its case or 138g. It does the job of drying and it dries fast.
An option instead of a 2nd gatoraide jug is a quart ziplock bag. If needed, just fill with water; otherwise keep for when more than one quart of water is needed--probably not many times on the Invierno. Placing in an outside side pocket and using first before the jug of water would be best...
