    I am cheap when purchasing hiking clothes. I live in the Cascade mountains and have trails outside my door. I do most of my shopping at Bass Pro Shop. I buy Redhead brand zip offs $39.00 and have worn then on 3 Caminos plus walks in Other nations. I only have had 3 pair in the last 7 years.

    Our first Camino was from SJPDP and we definitely needed our hiking boots we walk in snow for the first ten days then rain ,sleet and mud for the majority of the rest of the way. otherwise we have worn our trail runners. about ten days of clear weather out of the 25 days. I would do it again!

    I am a Altra fan I hike in them regularly on trail. For the Portuguese we switched up to Hoka Stinsons which great on hard surfaces like pavement and cobble stone.
