I walked CP from Lisbon to Santiago Sept. 17 , be prepared to walk on paved roads on the Portugal section and cobblestones on Spanish section. Many pilgrims were complaining about that.

I agree with NorthenLight and TimGreig you will walk many miles up and down hills. Because of the erosion you will walk around 100 miles in what I call dry creeks before and after Aubrac. I weared Lowa Renagate wide size and they where perfect and used poles.

If you are planning to sleep in albergue ( refuge) they don't supply sheets or blankets. Small hotel, Bed & BreAkfast,Inn they will supply sheets and blankets. You could easly find on Amazon a sleeping bag less than one pound not big at all.

You could buy a light sleeping bag ,one side is a liner the other side is just a little bit thicker . What ever is the temperature you pick the side that you want to sleep on. Buy the one who has a packet inside to put your wallet ,passport money etc..
