Tape your adapter to your charger plug in. So many adapters were left in outlets. Also, look under the bed after you've packed your bag for morning. I've seen stuff left under beds.
Please get yourself and your pack completely ready to go the night before, so in the morning, you can just slip on your pants, grab your sleeping bag/bedding, grab your pack and slip quietly out of the room to an outer room, to finish getting ready to go. No turning on room lights, bright...
I don't think it matters what side it zips on, as it will change when you flip it over to the cooler or warmer side.😄 It also unzips from the foot to cool the tootsies!
Mountain Hardwear 35/50 down Flip Bag on sale, on sale from $180 down to $89 on the Mountain Hardwear website. Regular size L hand zip available. They have high reviews and weigh 1lb 12 oz. Just wanted to let everyone know.
It’s only $89 right now. It has treatment on the down so it will still maintain its loft and warmth retention capabilities. It think it’s called Q shield. It’s on Mountainhardwear.com
Does anyone have the “flip bag” by mountain Hardwear? It has a warmer side with more down, and a thinner down side. Do you like it? It is half price right now. Should I bite??

I will try to get a few pictures. I weighed it today, in the little stuff sack the down quilt from Costco came in. It weighs 30 oz’s. I will be taking it again when my friend and I do the Frances for the second time. I used it on the VDLP and it worked great!
One thing that I did with my phone charger was to tape the charger cord to my adapter, so I didn't accidentally leave the adapter in the wall. It worked well.
I have been back and forth about bringing my Salomon trail runners, or my Keen mid high leather with Keen dry. The weather is supposed to be so rainy and the pictures are showing so much mud. Are you a believer in wearing the hiking booots?
I want to "save my shoes" as they are a lighter color and have a lot of cool breathing mesh that allows me to feel breezes right through them. They are Salomon XR Missions and they fit so perfectly. They would be ruined after walking through cow poop mud.
I bought a waist pack and removed the over large plastic closure clip, as I could feel it pressing into my back under the back pack. I sewed velcro onto the belt straps and now I can't feel it at all.
I have a RIBZ Front Pack for sale. It is a medium Stealth Black in color. It is very adjustable. You put it on before your back pack and you can't even feel it. Its very well made, but I just feel like it's too masculine and I feel like I am headed to the gun range when I am wearing it...
Add it to your great Book SYates!! I just finished reading your book again, to make sure I am well prepared. It is full of excellent ideas and packing lists.
I'm such
I used the P-Style on my walk today, down a quiet trail in a big park. (quite possibly the bravest thing I've ever done:eek:) It works beautifully with no mess, no fuss. Yippity, skippity!!
Isn't that kind of like having every one jump up at the same time to keep a runaway elevator from crashing too hard??? You have forgot, we have went to college!!
