Yes... on my first trip I went online and pre-ordered my walking poles at the store in St. Jean. When I arrived I picked them up. On my second walk I actually purchased new poles that collapsed into about 12 inches and then fit into a bag. Each pole has their own bag. I had not problems...
Sounds wonderful and was one of the items I left at home that I wished I'd taken with me. Gators...no way. I hiked in sandals in August, September and October. Didn't hit much rain until October and my sandals dried very fast in the evening! Do bring the extra large scarf....you'll be glad...
