    GPS Watch suggestions?

Can we suggest an upper arm holder for your phone :) Take a look at the Polar M400 I suggested. Without the heart rate sensor it's a little over your $100 limit. But maybe you can find it on sale.

    GPS Watch suggestions?

Well my older Polar with the external GPS sensor can go for several days. The sensor is bigger then a watch. But all these things cost more then the OP budget. I still think the OP should just try using her phone. Zero added costs .

    GPS Watch suggestions?

Suunto tends to be higher end then Polar.

    GPS Watch suggestions?

Not with the two I have. The big issue is battery life.

    GPS Watch suggestions?

You need to define affordable. The Polar M400 is a heart rate monitor watch that also has a GPS built in. The main issue is the battery won't last for eight hours if you have the GPS running. The M400 does much more then track distance. If all you want is distance it likely makes more sense to...

    Vodafone Tourist Sim - Reviews?

You can pay a basic voice only phone for less then €30 usually. Smart phones start at above €50 but some times include offers of free time/data. So it can be cheaper to get the more expensive phone. But it depends on the offer

    Vodafone Tourist Sim - Reviews?

All EU phones work around Europe. You'll pay roaming if you cross a border. Voice roaming isn't very much and can be cheaper then some domestic plans. Data roaming is expensive. If you intend to use a lot of data best to get a local SIM.

    Vodafone Tourist Sim - Reviews?

I'm using the other one. 1GB of data for three months. Also €15. Works great if you don't need voice.

    Confused by pack "volume"

If it was me. I'd get a waist bottle holder. For example http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JVGWEAS/?tag=casaivar02-20 That would hold two 500ml bottles Phone. Wallet. ID. Sunscreen. Then get a 10 or 15l pack. I think the others have suggested carrying this. I'd try it out first. From the sound...

    Long or Short Sleeves?

If you want natural linen is better then cotton. It will look wrinkled but in a good way. All clothing has a SPF. SPF is just a measure of how much it blocks. Sheer lace will block some sun . The SPF will be very low but it will have a SPF. Think of this. Dark jeans have a SPF of 200 or so.

38 Litre or 48 Litre backpack?

Off the top of my head I can't think of one EU airline that would allow either of those for carry on. Maybe on transatlantic flights? Those numbers are a good example of how small the size difference really is.

38 Litre or 48 Litre backpack?

Depends on the airline. 40litres is the max volume for some discount airlines. Some are smaller. Some are slightly bigger. BUT that assumes your pack is shaped to fit the sizing cage . Most real back packs are long and narrow. You'll need a smaller pack just for that reason. To the OP. There...

    Ultra light obsession

Certainly not wise but illegal? Not just kids. Enough adults have gotten poisoned by drinking out of "water" bottles that held anything but water.

    Backpack Size Question

If it's this years 40l then it's likely the same one I bought a few weeks back. It's a one piece pack. Decathlon is only sold at Decathlon stores. Almost every European country has them. UK,Spain,France and Italy for sure.

Some basic cellphone questions for the technologically naive.....

Best to buy it in a Spanish shop. Hand them the phone and ask them to install the SIM for you. They should activate it for you. The phone if you're lucky will be up and running before you leave the shop. You don't say what phone but these days many phones auto config.

    Decathlon

I can't remember for packs but Decathlon sells store brand and name brand stuff. The store brand stuff changes. So even if somebody bought a pack last year they loved this years could be different. The packs I have from Decathlon are small city bags. Can't complain for the price. I've looked...

Type C or F adaptor for the French Way?

#2 is the F type socket. The metal ears slide into the grooves on the plug. That plug will also take the Italian three pin plug. I think in the rest of Europe the middle pin would be missing.

Type C or F adaptor for the French Way?

That's normal. On the socket you'll see two metal bits that slide into those plastic slots.

Type C or F adaptor for the French Way?

I guess you could always find something different but in my experience Spain,France and Germany all use the socket to fit the F. The C plug fits into the F socket. The smaller simpler plug is for low power items. The two side metal bits don't actually stick out do they? The metal bits that...

Type C or F adaptor for the French Way?

France in my experience uses the heavy duty sockets. The two pin plug fits just fine. I'm looking at my French phone charger at the moment and it's a two pin. The bigger plugs are for high amp devices. Oh to answer your question. I'd be worried that the adapter in the first picture wouldn't...
