I have the same sleeping bag as Robo, the Sea to Summit TR I, and my pack is 550g.
The basic weight is under 5 kg
Last year, on the Camino Portugues, I had a 42L backpack and it was too big.
I forgot to mention, this year I will do the Camino Primitivo starting on May 20.
I haven't used them constantly yet, it was just tested by my wife. It's ok as a product, the stitches are ok. A full review can only be done after arriving in Santiago, I hope, in mid-October.
I will take it together with a sleeping bag, which together weigh only 650 gr.
It is size M / L, with lid has about 65-70 cm, without lid has 60 cm (I measured the frame).
I have Osprey Startos 50, as well as a Kestrel 48 and an Exos 48., please don't ask why :)
.... and Osprey Escapist 32 ...
Somebody used Osprey Talon 33 as carry-on - 61 cm, I intend to pass without the lid.
Indeed is more than 5 cm high, without a lid, I hoped someone else would have passed without any problem.
