Pants or Shorts? Second pair of Shoes?
A 2nd pair of lightweight shoes - yes. The obvious answer re shorts or trousers is to take two pairs of trousers that unzip into 3/4 trousers or above the knee.- VeronicaF1

Sticks and Boots
I've never had a blister. Have good socks as well as shoes. I walked Sarria to SdC with a staff (a 'pole' I unearthed just outside Sarria). I was walking c 17km a day. After one disaster I booked ahead for the next day.- VeronicaF1

Can I have my backpack transported to municipal albergues?
No, but they will deliver somewhere close by eg the bar opposite the albergue in Burgos- VeronicaF1
