I walked with an osprey aura first Camino. Too heavy for me. I switched to osprey eja, light weight. It made all the difference for me. The Norte is quite hilly so as little weight as possible is my mantra.
Personally I would not as it takes too long for them to dry and they are heavy when you are wearing your second set of clothes. I have done three caminos and have never seen jeans on anyone. I remember seeing the Way and thinking, “This is obviously a movie as most people would wear jeans.” I...
I bought a hiking shirt from Columbia Spirtswear. It was super light, dried quickly. I liked that it covered my arms so I didn’t have to put sunscreen on my arms. It had vents in the right places and was actually cooler than my shirt sleeve option.
True, but the airport nightmares at the moment would push me toward carry on. There are many under 40 litre long distant packs. My lightweight Eja osprey 38 was super comfortable AND I took it on as a carryon. Win win.
I think you could do either really. I bought a hiking umbrella myself. It is as light as a feather. That’s why I chose it. I hardly knew it was strapped on my pack but it was sooo good in the sun and rain. There is a YouTube with Jeremiah Gibbs (Camino guide) that reviews umbrellas. It is very...
Your list looks great but it looks like you only have one set of clothes. I would consider another shirt. I took chacaos my first Camino for evenings and emergencies (which I didn’t have). Second and third Camino I didn’t carry them, I found them heavy. I switch to plastic Birkenstocks (evo) and...

I have just been on the Camino and it has been unseasonably cold, rain and even snow in the higher elevations. I would have frozen without my down sleeping bag.
I think I may have posted one of the earlier discussions of “little luxuries”. I think it is fun if people don’t jump to judgement. I have a crazy one that is bigger (although it is lightweight). I never travel without it… drum roll…no shame…I take a European electric plug in heating pad. I have...
