Salomon trail-running shoes. Non-Goretex, mostly mesh, very lightweight and ventilated. If it rains a lot they will get soaked, but at least they will dry completely overnight. Will alternate with Teva sandals, also lightweight and very comfortable, which I intend to wear whenever possible.

10 minutes soaking in a big pail, or sink, or bathtub filled with warm water and baking soda takes care of the smell. Then rinse, soak 2-3 minutes in a mild solution of...
I just bought the Yeti One Passion. Paid 250 euros. At 265 grams it's so light and small I can take my 130 gr silk liner as well on my next Camino. I tried it indoors (without the liner) in a pair of cotton pajamas with an outside temperature of 10°Celsius and was very comfortable; the bag is...
For those of you looking to buy an Altus poncho from the US, I came across this product by chance:
http://www.thepacka.com/

Don't cut the material. Just cut through the seams with a blade and attach velcro or whatever. Then apply seam sealant on the newly sewn spots (buy at outdoor stores). But even after re-sealing it will no longer be as watertight as originally...
