Unless you're staying in a hotel/casa/private home, you'll need to carry your coil , juicer, and converter(!) to the albergue kitchen to use it...and some albergues have quiet hours, wherein the use of * any* appliance is not encouraged.
A coil at 5 AM, quietly...and what will you drink your...
No one makes cute women's shoes in 12E/46 or 48. Also why I can't go below a 36L pack... ;)
God gets a pair of ballet flats with an insole, which I use instead of packing a pair of shower flip flops. They dry reasonably well.
Happy April Fools Day.
I should point out that the OPs product is not recommended for the allergic...like me ;)
TBH, wool makes me itch. I don't use merino products, either.. 😀
While the desire to help fund facilities through increased fees of any kind is nice, the point remains this:
There is *no* one authority that sponsors facilities along *any* (let alone all) of the Caminos. Not the Church, not any of the many amigo associations, not the autonomous regions, not...
If you mean that you wore that specific pair of shoes last year on your Camino *and* that you intend to wear the same pair of shoes this year, then I am certain that they will wear out before you reach Santiago. How or when, I can't say for certain, but I fully expect that you'll either...
Things you never want to hear ahead of you while going through security...
"But that's my favorite knife! Pero ese es mi cuchillo favorito! "
Two things are now guaranteed:
Your own transit will be delayed a bit,
and the Lord may giveth, but TSA/ Renfe security taketh away.
My suggestion (...
Six Moon Designs in the US has different packs and harnessing options (Straps vs vest closure), but unless you're willing to order it and try it, I can't say if you'll like it better. I ended up with a 5/11 Tactical light pack because I liked its fit and features better. I found the REI Gregory...
After my Camino last Sept, I mailed my poles and an unused guide back to the municipal albergue in my starting city with a brief note for the next pilgrim. Cost me 11 euro amd 10 minutes at Correos. Think it over. :)
Best of luck! It looks promising.
*After* I bought a Six Moon Design pack with the mesh vest adaptation, I decided I wanted a smaller, non top loading model. :( Which reminds me, I really ought to donate that pack....)
5-11 Tactical offered an ultralight with strap adjusters, nice hip belt...
:::: chuckle:::: Oddly enough, the sample size shampoo and laundry bars were noticeably lighter than even the 3 Oz travel shampoo. That got left behind after day 1. ;)
Can't answer for other bars, but I found Viori's bars light ( especially in trial size) and effective. And they don't have coconut oil, which I can't use.
My only questions are:
1. Can you wash linen? Can you machine wash it, for those days when you're too worn out or arrive too late or stay in a place without permission to do laundry in the sink?
If not, it's gonna get ripe - fast. You will eventually lose your ability to smell yourself, but no...
:::chuckle::: I wore real flight suits ( not wing suits, which is the picture) for work back in the long ago, and I wear modern coveralls for farm work.
Since they're not gusseted and the zippers aren't long enough around, I would *never* go commando, nor would I take them on Camino.
But it...
Falconbrother, if you currently experience "low frustration" with your current phone, then keep it, buy your variant of an international plan, and learn how to switch networks while you're in Spain to the one that serves you best.
I personally hated Orange and would switch to Vodafone every...
Echoing trecile, we can't authoritatively answer that question for you. What is your current experience in hiking or walking long distances over 2-3 days? What happens to your feet?
Simply from my own experience, my feet grew and stayed larger after my pregnancies, and have spread out again...
I wore Hoka Kaha's (I think) for the last 114 km of the Frances 2 years ago as well as the Primitivo until Lugo, then switched to Hoka Challengers for the rest of the way (needed to reduce my pack weight). The Challengers, like others have said, are more cushioned and have a bit more rugged...
I used to wear what I think were plimsolls back during martial arts training (Feiyue shoes). Pretty thin in the soles.
And yes, if I didn't wear socks, they would get quite...aromatic. I would toss them in the washer and then air dry to clean them. Heck, I even ( gently) washed my *pack*...
Same here. I rely on maximalist heel drop shoes to negotiate my interface with gravity. But then again, of all the things that hurt me on Camino, my feet (and truthfully, my legs, absent my knees and hips) were not among them.
