I’d suggest light weight merino wool shirt and change it half way through your day and hang it off your pack to dry…which it will very quickly. Even the “air flow vent” backpacks will make your back sweat, although maybe not so much.- djb1954

Daypack for short person with short back!
Try looking at Osprey’s “kids” size packs. The back is usually adjustable with Velcro attachment. You can adjust the back to whatever length you need. I’m (generously) 5’ 0” and backpack with one. I also use a Deuter 28 liter for a day pack now and that is what I plan to use on the Camino this...- djb1954
