38 Litre or 48 Litre backpack?

Good luck with your planning and training. I just returned 10 days ago and used the kestrel 38 for the second time. Probably a bit big even. I might suggest you mightn't need a sleeping bag in June and July. I probably didn't need mine for April / May. Take a sleeping sheet or silk liner which...

Charging IPhones or Kindles on the Camino

Good advice I found that I rarely thought about my phone and I switched it off until I had wifi at night to check in at home. I left in my Australian SIM card to discourage me from using it unnecessarily (cost). The power packs are great and I will use one this time and leave the phone safely...

    Anyone tried toe socks?

injini+smartwool = no blisters for me but only for St Jean to Burgos. I think staying dry is also important. They are a little bit difficult to put on at times is the only drawback 8)

Waterproof merrel hiking shoes poncho and waterproof rain pants = dry blister free feet. I am not sure that in concurrent wet days you could get your shoes to dry overnight and unless you bring hiking sandals (too heavy for me) you have a problem

    ipad questions

I guess we are all different. I am looking at a spiritual reset. I only have 14 says walking so would like the solace and don't feel that my family need to hear from me frequently.
