Sarong as a towel?
I have a turkish Hammam towel, which is lightwieght, cotton and is nice enough to use as a sarong. It dries quickly and is big enough to use as a blanket to lay on. All round good buy as I am not keen on the microfibre towels.- hsabs

Could you please comment on my novice peregrino packlist?
I have over packed in the past and I know we all have our preferences! I would take (or buy there/at airport) small nail scissors rather than scissors and clippers, then you can use then for nails and plasters. I have a swiss army type card (credit card size) which has scissors and a small torch...- hsabs

Which bit of kit failed?
Ice breaker T shirt was great when walking and I would not take anything else. What I wasnt so convinced by was the camelback - heavy when filled with water and I didnt use it as much as I expected. Not a complete fail but carrying a smaller bottle and filling it regularly means less weight in...- hsabs
