    Pack recommendations

Good thought. I did buy my pack second hand so no real idea which size it is. Maybe that's my problem!

    Pack recommendations

Hola peregrinos. I've done 2 camino's now with an Osprey 36 which on the whole has been great. However, I'm 6ft tall and am feeling like it's a bit too short. It does not have an adjustable back, but I do love the trampoline back-ventilation feature. I also love the water bladder feature. My...

Looking for a large Altus poncho in New Zealand

My XL New Zealand husband is currently on the Norte with me and is managing fine with a Sea to Summit poncho just in case you don’t manage to find an Altus one. Buen Camino!

Microfiber Bath Towel or something else? (How to get dry)

I did the Primitivo in summer and took a cotton sarong. Bad idea. It took ages to dry after a shower even though it was very light. This time I'm taking a larger microfibre (sea to summit) towel (yes I know microfibre has it's own set of issues). They have a snap-loop on them and I saw some...

Where to Buy Affordable Wooden Walking Sticks in Irun

Hi everyone. Does anyone have any recent experience buying a wooden walking stick in Irun? It sounds like bringing my poles is going to be a headache since I'm only taking carry on baggage. Last Camino I was able to buy a wooden stick for 7 euros in Oviedo square. Hiking poles (decathlon etc)...

Walking Poles on the Primitivo. Yes or No.

I did the Primitivo last August. I didn't train with poles but did buy a 'staff' from one of the souvenir shops around the cathedral for about 7euro. It was fantastic. It was especially useful for rocky and boggy patches. I practised some baton twirling in some bored moments and it was great for...

    Time for Some Trail Runners

Another vote for Hoka Stintson here. Together with Ininji toe socks, not a foot issue the whole way.

    Hokas

I agree the Stintson are great. I did the Primitivo in them and am still using them. The only negative I had about them is they were a bit slider on cobblestones - I guess less grip due too the shape. I’m a woman with size EU42 so I had to get the men’s version of them.
