CPAP tubing and SD card
I also benefit from cap machine. My machine calls for using distilled water. On a recent trip to southern Spain I used tap water. No ill effects. Good luck.- Opa Theo

Tips for Uphill Walking or Hiking
Excellent advice. My mantra is borrowed from the kids folk tale of the little train: I think I can. I think I can..... I find downhill sections to be more likely to cause foot blisters and falling. Hiking poles are very helpful. Thanks Ted- Opa Theo

Urban myths about boots and backs— are there others?
Poles are great. They are like having a hand rail going up or down tricky sections. They may dissuade aggressive dogs. On flat stretches I simply disconnect my Z poles and loop them through the bottom of my shoulder strap. What brands of inserts do people use for trail runners?- Opa Theo

Dinah, I walked the last 100 klms of the Camino Francis October 2018 with a nine year old knee replacement without problems. Want to walk the English route but see you walked the Norte. Should we do that instead of the English route? Thanks Theo- Opa Theo

Had left knee replaced in 2010. Recovery involved lots of physical therapy. Biking helps increase range of motion. I was warned to give up running and walk no more than 2 miles daily.
