In my experience the route Oviedo-Berducedo (possibly via Hospitales) is the most beautiful and naturalistic way that I found in Spain. A bit of mud, free horses and cows, special landscapes.
In Berducedo it is not easy to have a great and cheap accommodation. Last year (2022) I slept in Casa de aldea, not cheap but very pleasant accommodation. And don’t miss the dinner in Albergue Camino Primitivo (Vanesa 👍).
I walked two times Primitivo. The first one in late September and the second one in early May. Two excellent periods. If possible I’d avoid early September because of possible crowd. Great Camino, good idea. Buen camino
Great experience and great report that I substantially endorse (I walked Primitivo two times). Can I ask you which season you find appropriate for Camino de Invierno? Bye
Good choice. I walked Primitivo the last May. Just two suggestions. Don’t miss Bodenaya albergue. Book in advance in Berducedo (there possibly eat Vanesa dinner). Buen camino
