So it really doesn’t start in Madrid??? I was sooo confused.... and with no one with any answers, it was very frustrating... it does not help that I do not speak any Spanish!
Let me tell you it was really frustrating when I was trying to get out of Madrid I couldn’t find any markings that took me on a Camino at all so I got on a train to tres cantos and when I got there the municipal was totally close down, tres cantos Hostal booked solid, Avis Hostal never picked up...
I have a Madrid to Sahagún mapbook I picked up from the office in Madrid, it’s in Spanish though. Cost me ten euros. I ended Madrid Camino at Colmenar Viejo, long story....
I am now in Málaga enjoying the beach.
