A few questions from a rookie...

New Member
Due to time constraints I'm beginning in Leon on April 27, arriving there (via bus) the evening of the 26th. Will I be able to stay in a refugio that night or should I look into other accomodations? Also, since I will only be in Leon that evening and early morning before I begin walking, will it be possibly to obtain my credential in that period of time? One more question... does any one have an advice as to what I should plan on wearing, shorts vs. pants? Thanks so much... looking forward to meeting others on the Way!!

More 2024 Camino Guides available
The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
you can stay in the albergue the night before you start walking however if you arrive late there might not be any beds left
there's a very nice hotel-residencia (cheap and clean) just outside the gates to the old city around the corner from the movie theater
any policeman can tell you how to find it
the nuns can probably give you a credencial at the albergue or you can get one at a tourist office
