I just watched the first episode about pilgrimage in Britain. A lot to fit into an hour but altogether a very good programme. Interesting to see the chap Lindsay (sp?) who walks with a 25 Kg cross. I've seen him in the past striding along the hard shoulder of the A2 to Canterbury. He makes me feel like a proper ponce for worrying about carrying a change of shreddies and a couple of shirts. Next episode explores the Camino de Santiago.

Hi all,
BBC2 tomorrow 3rd December sees the start of a series of programmes about pilgrim journeys. Starts 2100hrs UK time.
Buen Camino
how does one get this in the USA if possible.

It'll be on BBC iPlayer. If you can access BBC through a UK server it's there for a while. I've no idea how you do that but I'm sure there's a geek somewhere in the world who will tell you how.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

I wasn't terribly impressed by the first one in the series. However as next week is about going to Santiago it will be a "must watch" for me.

I didn't watch all of the first episode as I don't think my elevated blood pressure would have taken more of it.
I began shouting at the "presenter" when he complained that he "wasn't seeing many pilgrims".
He was driving a car on a major road at 50+ m.p.h.
He didn't pay attention to me, so I reciprocated.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
To be fair, when i walked the Pilgrim Way from Winchester to Canterbury recently, there were no other pilgrims and not a great deal of awareness of pilgrims. It's a great route

I wasn't impressed - he seemed to do a lot of driving, give bland explanations with very little substance; beautiful scenery though - and I did like the meeting with the guy with the cross. Will be quite interested to see how he does 500 miles in 55 minutes next week - unmissable I should think. It is written on my calender!
