I enjoyed researching the close connections between famous World explorers and famous ships made on the Norte...
Looks like there is some strong thought that they might have found the Santa Maria built in Castro0Urdiales...

So funny, as I was in Castro Urdiales I told my kiddos it was built there...
this was my source, though I admit WIKI is far from the most reliable place to find anything...

Are we correct in thinking that replicas of the ship(s) are on the Magdalena at Santander?

A la Santa María, también se la conocía como La Gallega, según dicen porque pudo haber sido construida en Galicia.
Otros dicen que su nombre es debido a que fue construida en el puerto de Santa María.
