Absurdly Inexpensive Flight from Santiago

Time of past OR future Camino
Yearly and Various 2014-2019
Via Monastica 2022
I don't know if it's a promotional fare (or what?), ore even if it's still there, but I just booked a flight from Santiago to Zurich (in early April) on Swiss and it was only 53$, including taxes. To say I was surprised is an understatement.
Just saying. If the fare holds, connecting to outward flights this way could save a bit of money.

The pricing of airfares is a mysterious black art. Instead of a fixed fare many airlines these days use complicated systems that calculate a price for each seat on each flight depending on number of seats already sold and expected demand for the rest - among other factors. So the price you are offered can vary from minute to minute. Usually cheaper if you book well in advance. The airlines realise that they have people who want to travel in the next 24 hours over a barrel and big discounts are unlikely.

...and on the day of the week and the phase of the moon...not to mention other mysteries. I found that fare on 2 separate websites and grabbed it, knowing that it could be gone the next time I checked.
Well, I hope all the rest of you are as fortunate as I was!
