Albergues along the Sureste

Time of past OR future Camino
FRuture: Camino Sureste (2022)
Dear Forum members,

I will be starting the Camino Sureste from Alicante on the 25th September coming.

I would appreciate if you help me with information about the albergues on this route. Are there many still closed because of covid. Could someone give me a list of all the albergues on the way.

My worry is that I will arrive in some remote village like e.g Petyrola where there are no hotels and will find the albergue closed.
I found on the website of the 'Federación Española de
Asociaciones de Amigos del Camino de Santiago' that it is temporarily closed. Is this correct?

Thank you and buen camino,
Raymond Aquilina,
Malta

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
You can see the complete list of albergues for the Levante on Wise Pilgrim, but unfortunately it does not indicate their status. Gronze is a good website, but has nothing for the Levante. I'm in the same boat, as I'm switching over from the Madrid camino (from Villeguillo to Medina del Campo), and don't know what to expect on those last few days to Zamora. I'm going to call the albergues to see if they're an option so that I can plan my walk accordingly.

I plan to walk from Toledo in October. And from the research I have done so far, there are albergues, hostels, and donativos open all the way to Zamora and beyond! I use the following site and recent Levante threads on the forum:
(this 24th stage is to Medina del Campo)

Buen Camino!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
The Alicante amigos, who have an online guide, have posted 2022 hours. They give suggested stages from Alicante and have a pdfof Albergues. I would imagine they can tell you which are open. Buen camino.
Thank you Peregrina2000 you are always of great help.
I have a small question maybe you can help me. I will be walking the Sureste up to Astorga beween the 24th Sep. and 19th October. Do you think that a liner sleeping bag will be enough?

thank you in advance,
Ray

I can never answer this question. I always walk with a sleeping bag, but that’s because I “run cold”.

Here’s a longer explanation.

Buen camino Ray!

Thank you Peregrina2000 ...I will try to post a tread maybe anyone who walked the route could help me. From my experience these regions is quite warm. I am also keen of having a light backpack.

Ray - did you end up just using the liner? Buen Camino, Kev
