I’m staying there next week when doing the Primitivo. I think it looks very nice inside!!!

I stayed there - it is quite nice and on a quiet street just before going back into the forest. The curtains close and make it nice and dark at night. I think there were a couple big curtains - I think I closed them in front of my bed earlier than the others were closed. The lady is from Brazil if I remember correctly. Can't remember if her husband was Spanish or Brazilian. There is a restaurant on the property with a few private rooms too.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Sounds alright, actually!
I wasn’t even sure it was even open!
I think it was just the shock of how modern it looks!
I am intrigued now by the idea of the “big curtain”

It looks modern, but was built to be Earth friendly

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
On my todo list, ride the Camino Primitivo and stay at this place - next year

It was very pleasant. I laid in bed watching pilgrim's pass. Across the street were lots of trees. Nice big lawn. Clean showers. Only downside was the washer in the albergue was also used by the other guests - so quite busy in that respect. But all the bunks were in the one room, then a sliding door separated it from the area where you enter the building which is where the bathrooms/dining table and tiny kitchenette were. It was VERY clean.

I am staying in Casa Sueños tonight and loving it! The hotel has 9 rooms and is completely full tonight, and the albergue is completely empty! I mean, until 9pm I didn’t see any light/movement/activity in there and I doubt anyone would arrive after 9pm to the albergue.

The place is very clean… the shower was prob the best I’ve had in Spain so far. The bar and kitchen are open all the time/no siesta break.

We got in at around 1.30pm, most of my new pilgrim friends were carrying on to Bodenaya or La Espina so they all stopped by for drinks and/or bocadillo. It’s on the Camino and at the end of the town Salas, so it was a good stopping point for them.

Of the people staying at the hotel, there were 4 bikers, and prob 3 cyclists (they look like they’re cyclists), and 2 other pilgrims we have seen on the Camino before. Not sure why it’s not more popular amongst pilgrims, maybe because of the location, at the end of town… so pilgrims who don’t have any reservation would tend to wander around town and find a bed there, and those who have reserved push on to Bodenaya given their great reputation.

I did sooo much socialising last night and today’s walk was quite hot, so I felt so exhausted today and am glad I’m not in the “pilgrim friendly” Fontenonaya or Bodenaya, as after my friends left at 4, I had a proper nap for 3 hours(!).

So in other words, if you’re stopping in Salas, I highly recommend this place! Albergue bed is €18.

Am almost tempted to take a bus back just to try it out now!
I think you’re right about the location, it just kinds of pops out at you!
The albergue I had planned to stay at today, was full! First time since I started!
Booked Seminario Menor for Wednesday!
