Hello everyone

I'm doing some planning for my next walk, and I'm planning to do El Camino de Norte staring at the train station in Bayonne the question of course is, it's possible to start from Bayonne? Like is there a walking path or do I have to walk the roads, hostels, hotels, food etc from Bayonne to Irun? Has anyone here done it?

Thank you for your help

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Did it from just after Biaritz last year and the littoral is fairly easy to follow - just head for the coast and turn left! However, places to stay until Irun are fairly limited.

Hi,
we did it from Bayonne, to Hendaye last year... first, there are nice people for pilgrims at Bayonne's cathedral... enter, just in front of you, all informations at "accueil pellerins"... Cathedral close from 12:00 to 15:00... They gave us a nice adresse to sleep at Urrugnes and the camino du littoral...10km before Irun... the way is totaly, clearly signs. Even, if it's a little difficult to go out of the town... but they'll give you a map and explanations.
Enjoy your camino!
