Great info, thank you. There are a lot of buses from central Bilbao to Pamplona. Should be just a bus into town from the airport then a 2 hour trip to Pamplona. Here's what Trainline lists for Friday as an example

Bus goes directly from airport to Las Mamas bus terminal every hour I think if you purchase your Pamplona ticket online it's a matter of coordination on times.Trying to plan my journey from Bilbao airport to Pamplona.
I thought it was simply a case of jump on the bus at the airport into the city centre (20 mins on route A3247) and then swap onto a bus to Pamplona (2 hours). Hopefully with the swap taking place in the same bus station ("Bilbao Intermodal"?) but Rome2Rio is saying "Hey, not so fast, Mr H!"
Anyone speak Rome2Rio?
Anyone actually done this trip?

Yes but.......the map seems to show me having to travel well North of the airport and then heading back South to the City Centre. Surely that cannot be right?I speak better Rome2Rio than english. In order to reach Bilbao intermodal you have to change buses:
- A2153
- 27
- A3923
(Click on each Details)
Then you have 2 h to reach Pamplona.
A journey of 3h30 is not so bad...
That's the answer I wanted to hear! The bus to Pamplona runs from the Intermodal station. There are direct buses from the airport to the Intermodal station.
Maybe you should trust the bus company website. Though they might be lying too. That's the answer I wanted to hear!
But can I trust you?
It's not personal. Just that my Mum told me never to accept gifts from strangers or sloths.Maybe you should trust the bus company website. Though they might be lying too.

If you search on the ALSA site, they show six buses a day for €16 (tomorrow) running from Bilbao Intermodal to Pampalona. That's the answer I wanted to hear!
But can I trust you?
Perfect.Hi! I live here in Bilbao and have taken the airport bus many, many times. And I've also taken the bus to Pamplona, many times. Your first snapshot looks very strange to me.
Basically, once you arrive at Bilbao airport and get off the plane, past the customs etc and to the arrivals area where people are waiting for loved ones, head to the right, following the bus signs. It's a small airport so the bus kiosk is very easy to find. You'll see the kiosk at the end of the departures area.
There are only 2 buses - one into Bilbao every 20-30 minutes depending on the time of year, and the other goes to San Sebastian. You can get your ticket at the kiosk and ask if you're not sure.
The last stop on the Bilbao bus is the main bus station - Intermodal. It's all underground now after being completely renovated a few years ago.
Both the Alsa and La Union buses leave from here - Intermodal - to go to Pamplona. Check their websites for timetables and if you want to purchase tickets in advance.
If you have other specific questions, feel free to message!

The airport shuttle goes to the bus station. The bus to Pamplona leaves from the same place.Great info, thank you.
Do you know where these buses leave from?
I think the bus from the airport comes into Bilbao Intermodal but I don't know if that is the main (or only?) bus station or if I need to allow for a schlepp across the city.
Mmmm, the bar may be a bad idea. An hour in there and I won’t know where I’m going. The airport shuttle goes to the bus station. The bus to Pamplona leaves from the same place.
You may have to go upstairs to buy your ticket. Across the square there's a bar ...
A bar is always a good idea.Mmmm, the bar may be a bad idea. An hour in there and I won’t know where I’m going.
But two hours and I won’t care!
True, true…..A bar is always a good idea.
Not that one opposite bus station, poor.A bar is always a good idea.
