We need to get from Leon to Sarria. We have booked bus tickets from Leon to Pedrafita do Cebreiro. However, I cant seem to book bus from PdC to Sarria. The image shows the next leg. Is that a local bus? Do we just buy tickets on the bus. I'd be grateful for some advice. Thanks

Yes, that looks like a local bus. Pay the driver.

I did that back in 2021, after hurting a foot. Bussed from Piedrafita all the way to Santiago, actually....

I waited till the MONBUS pulled up to the (ugly, brutalist) Piedrafita bus stop shelter around 3:15 PM. I paid the driver about E 16, cash. No assigned seats. The driver told me to carry my pack onto the bus itself - he showed no interest in stowing it down below. The bus was entirely empty! (It did pick up other pilgrims along the way....) Although I regretted being unable to walk it that year, the MONBUS trip was an enjoyable alternative, following the classic Camino route much of the way: O Cebreiro, Fonfria, Triacastela, Samos, Sarria, and on into the West........

Thanks for the details, it really helpful.
Is MONBUS the name of the bus company?

MONBUS is the name of the company. It has a website, but I don't know that you can book tickets on line. In 2022 I used MONBUS again, to get from SdeC to El Ferrol for the Camino Ingles, and bought my ticket at the new SdeC Intermodal Station.

Just for fun, here's a pic of the Piedrafita de Cebreiro bus shelter:

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I booked a bus from Léon to Lugo and then a train to Sarria on 10 May. It was the only way I could figure out how to do it.
