Camino Frances - Spring 2013

Hi "caminantes",

I'm a portuguese guy and I'm planning to do the Camino Frances in the spring of 2013.

Because i don't only want to make the way, but i don't want too, create too many expectations because I want to go with an open and free heart to live the experience that the Camino has to offer me, my intention is to meet people who want what I want and make the Camino at the same time, without regard to ages, sexes, races, etc...

I know it's early, however, i think it's better try to exchanging ideas, information - creating relations - with some people who want to try this and maybe make the Camino together.

Not intend to write much because I'm totally willing to discuss this experience from the beginning, open to everyone and everything.

Who wants to try it?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi Cavaleiroandante

Welcome, and I'd advise just to keep looking at this forum! Others walking in 2013 may not know it yet, so you have plenty of time to link up before then.

You'll have specific queries as your planning progresses, and someone in the world will know or suggest an answer. I think I've learned more by reading/writing on this forum than I did doing my Caminos!

Buen Camino!

Keith

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi, cavaleiroandante,

Welcome to the forum, and enjoy all the fun of planning your first Camino! Since you say you are Portuguese, you might also want to contact the Lisbon Friends of the Camino group, the Via Lusitana, http://www.vialusitana.org because they have lots of information and experience, too. Even if you're not located in Lisbon, I think the website will be helpful to you as a newcomer to the Camino. I was lucky enough to meet some of the group's organizers last year and can tell you they are a wonderful bunch of people.

And though I'm not trying to discourage you from "meeting" similarly minded people here on the forum, you can be sure that once you set foot on the camino, you will meet lots and lots of people and will have no trouble forming bonds with those whose interests and attitudes are similar to yours.

Buen camino, Laurie
