Time of past OR future Camino

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry if this question was asked before, i didn't know where to find the answer.

I am leaving for my first Camino soon and my accomodation will be in albergues. My wife doesn't have the possibiliy to come from the start, so she will join me along the way. My questions are: can she get credencial from any town? And also, can she get accomodation at the same albergue as me from the first day? I read that she has to have a number of kilometers/stamps in order to get accomodation, so will this be a problem if she starts Camino from a random location?

Thank you and sorry for my bad english.
Alex

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Zabalutza,

Welcome to the Forum!

Often you can get a Crendential from an albergue or church while walking the camino; however all places do not provide them. It would be easier to obtain a Credential before your wife begins. See this link for obtaining one by mail from this Forum.

Once your wife is walking on the camino she like you can stay in almost any albergue that has space.

Buen camino to both your wife and yourself!

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Hi Zabalutza,
Regarding your confusion on where to find answers, Ivar, the administrator for this blog has recently added a new, larger search box near the top of the homepage. It has this icon pointing to it:

This might be a simpler path to some solutions. Still, if you're not sure exactly what to search on to find an answer , you can always just post the question. There is no posting fee yet!

Buen Camino to you and your wife,
