Thinking about walking stage 2 of my camino. I walked SJPP to Pamplona April just gone. Just a little concerned that the Albergues in Cizur Minor and Puente le Reina will be closed. Anyone walked this way in November I've emailed the Albergues just waiting to hear back. Here's my itinerary:

Day1. Fly Dublin-Bilbao, bus to Pamplona, walk to Cizur Minor 5km
Day 2 Cizur Minor to Puente le Reina 18km
Day 3 Puente le Reina to Estella 22km
Day 4 Estella to Los Arcos 21km
day 5 Los Arcos to Logrono 28km
Day 6 Bus to Bilbao, fly to Dublin

There will be albergues open in estella and los arcos and i have accom sorted in logrono

Any thoughts or comments on my itinerary welcome

keoghy,

During past autumns both Cizur Menor albergues, that of the Order of Malta and the private Roncal family albergue, have been closed in November. In fact November is the only month when Maribel Roncal is closed. Hence you might consider continuing on a few kilometers further to Zariquiegui and to this new place which is both private albergue and hostal; they also take reservations. Check that they are open in November. See >> http://www.laposadadeardogi.com/ When you do arrive In Puente La Reina the Albergue de los Padres Reparadores is open throughout the year with HEAT in winter and a good pilgrim kitchen if you want to cook.

By the way walking in November can be cold and raw especially when the wind blows from the west towards you. Be prepared!

Buen Camino,

Margaret Meredith

Thanks for the advice that's good news about the albergue repadores in puente la reina because I just heard back from albergue jakue and they will be closed they offered the hotel for €45 which is way out of budget for me. Ill contact the albergue in zarakegi worst comes to worst ill stay in Pamplona and get an early start.
