COMMENCING CAMINO

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
All the best Jim and Betty, and I look forward to following you on your blog as you walk.

“May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And may God hold you in the hollow of his hand.”
It seems there's been quite a lot of rain in the Bayonne area. Hopefully, there won't be as much again as you both journey to Santiago.

Buen Camino.

Hi Jim, Betty et al. Excited or what! I arrive Madrid tomorrow Wed 23rd, bus to Pamplona, over night there and start the walk to Santiago on Thu 24th. Looking forward to meeting forum members and all other pilgrims en route. Buen Camino from Christopher.

What a delightful beginning by strolling the streets of Paris, visiting Notre Dame, and finding le rue St. Jacques. Your blog is a great idea and I enjoyed reading it. May it continue to be a source of reflection and release as you begin your Chemin.

All we can say is that we all wish were there with you as you begin. You begin where pilgrims have begun for centuries and thus enter that wonderful world of pilgrimage. May you find both surprises and comfort along the way. Don't forget to serve others; in doing so doors will be opened that you did not know even existed.

Bon Chemin,

Michael
