Just checking so I got it right:
Here:
" Asociación de Amigos de los Caminos de Santiago de Madrid c/ Carretas 14, 7, B-1 (metro Sol) Tlf.: +34 91 5232211 Martes y jueves: 19:00 a 21:00 (abierto todo el año) Miércoles: 11:00 a 12:30 (abierto todo el año excepto en Julio y Agosto) y 19:00 a 21:00 (únicamente Mayo, Junio y Julio) "
(From http://www.demadridalcamino.org/credencial/)

...I can get the credencial Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday.

And the other alternative is the Church of Santiago.
Does anyone know what days one can get the credencial there?

If you want to do it the Scandinavian way you can buy it in advance from "
pilgrimsfelleskapet" in Oslo. You send them an email and ask for it and send 50 kr in an envelope.
If you look at my pictures on http://www.youtube.com/user/RogerHogstrom you can see im the set "camino de santiago de madrid short version" how it looks like.

Roger's suggestion might be easier, but you can get it in the church of Santiago after any of the masses, I believe. On the church's website, there is the following list of masses:

Laborables 11.00 – 12.00 – 19.30 Sábados y Vísperas de Festivos 11.00 – 12.00 – 17.30 – 19.30 Domingos y Festivos 11.00 – 12.00 – 13.00 – 19.30

I got mine in the church after the 11:00 mass on a weekday.

On this other thread, traveling-to-from-the-camino/topic15559.html you can get instructions on how to get to the Church of Santiago (Actually its official name is the Iglesia de Santiago y San Juan -- don't know how San Juan got in there). It's in the old part of Madrid, which is filled with little curvy streets.

Buen camino, Susanna! Laurie

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Thank you Roger and Laurie!
That's very helpful.
It would be nice to get the credencial in advance, actually. So I don't have to worry about that the first day. It was fun to see your pics, Roger. It's nice to see photos of summer and sunshine, I'm longing for it.

Buen Camino
