29/8/22: Cycling Camino del Norte from Gijón
I am planning to cycle this route over 2 days in Sept 2022.
Day 1 Santiago to Olveira; Day 2 Olveira to Muxia
Has anyone cycled from Olveira to Finisterre and then on to Muxia and what is the distance of the preferred route please ? (I have tried to calculate it but keep coming up with different figures)

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Haven't done it ----------------------- Komoot suggested bike 'touring' route

almost always on the money in France for me - can't see why Spain would be any different

Hi! 3 years ago. I made a really last minute decision after going to the pilgrims mass at midday then lounging in the square to continue - so that afternoon i just went to negreira. From there i cycled to Muxia and stayed the night. The following day i cycled to Finisterre. (It was after my Portuguese route). I can't remember the kilometres: I just remember that this made more sense to me and one reason was because there was a regular bus back to Santiago from Finisterre which took my bicycle too. I was totally out of time and had to get back to porto for a flight home. This was 2019 so 3 years ago. The kilometres will change depending on your route and your route will depend on whether you cycle on the rougher paths or the roads. Good luck!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Thank you Cath - very helpful advice. Do you know the best website to find a bus timetable from Finisterre to Santiago?
