Fisterra to Madrid

I am planning to walk from SJDC to Finisterre. What are my best options for, then, getting from Fisterra to Madrid to catch my plane? I don't see that either Renfe or Alsa has a direct route, so must I first return to SJDC, then train or bus to Madrid?

Thanks for any help, as always.

Warmly,

Barry

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
Trains serve Santiago and A Coruna. Santiago probably has more buses from Fisterre. I suggest you return to Santiago for the train. The bus ride is long and uncomfortable.

Bus back to Santiago and take a train, plane or bus back to Madrid.

The bus from SdC stops first in beautiful downtown Madrid adding time to your journey and requires changing buses in the Madrid bus station. The bus from A Coruña is evidently direct but from Finistere you are looking at a11 hour ride. If you can afford it, the airport in SdC is small, user-friendly and much much quicker. It has been a while since I left out on the bus, I remember good service, comfortable seats, and darn few rest stops meaning one needs a football sized bladder to get through comfortably!
