Forest fires near Leon.

I am starting the camino in Pamplona on Wednesday, and I just saw news about the forest fires near Leon. I have searched for news about how this is affecting the camino, but I can't find anything. Any news would be appreciated. Thanks.

There are no forests along the camino near Leon. Bald ass meseta.

There are fires at Tabuyo del Monte 20 km SW of Astorga so you might see smoke.

Telegraph has photos that are more dramatic than it really is.

It is the season of forest fires risk in Spain. But as mentioned above, there are not any forest near León; it is mostly plain, agricultural land.
Nearest forests are after Rabanal del Camino.
In case of doubts, ask hospitaleros.
