Hola. I've stopped in Melide tonight and wondering whether I should be worried as I'm the only pilgrim in a 20 bed albergue at Albergue Arraigos. Has anyone else been in this situation.? Given the number of pilgrims on The Way I would have thought there would be more people...

I have been in that situation a few times in the midst of a crowded Camino. It does happen. It's nice when it does. Enjoy.

It can happen more often if you choose the last albergue along the way in any given town.

Aaah ... the luxury of being able to have a lovely shower knowing there's no queue waiting!

And having the choice of the prime bottom bunk too!

Love this reply...especially the bit about the Shower...so nice to be able to just stand there and let the hot water wash over you and relax your muscles, knowing that there is no-one stamping their feet impatiently outside the door as happened to me a few times on my very recent Camino....

Thanks for the responses. It was great not having to rush a shower and having the choice of bunks as well as not feelingblike you're hogging the power point! Cheers and buen camino.

I am surprised. There are dozens today in Puente La Reine, 4th stage.
