Way back in the early 1970s I had the privilege of reading Spanish medieval/early modern history at the University of Virginia under Professor Charles Julian Bishko…. He even gave me an autographed “off-print” of one of his essays….
(You internet-era young folks won’t appreciate what an “off-print” was, but back in the 1970s an off-print gift from a professor really meant something!) I lost it in one of my many moves, sigh….
Well! “New” CF member Lucyk has given it back to me, by pointing me towards a priceless library of
free on-line classic Spanish medieval/early modern historical resources, including works by Bishko, Burns, Fletcher, O’Callaghan, Powers and Reilly…. I really had
no idea that these were out there, just waiting for me!

My dear Lucyk: This is the
nicest gift I’ve been given in many a year, and reading
(re-reading in some cases) these classics will keep me busy for a very long time to come! May the Lord make His face to shine upon you!
