As of April 30 Iberia will suspend its thrice-weekly return flights between Madrid and Johannesburg. The airline made the decision owing to the sharp rise in fuel prices and the continuing world economic crisis.
Advice for Customers:
• Customers holding tickets issued to travel from 1st May 2012 onwards will be rebooked via LON with BA on an involuntary reroute basis in the following manner:
• Customers with routings between Spain and South Africa will be rebooked by Iberia via LON on IB marketed flights operated by BA and tickets can be reissued by the agencies.
• Customers travelling between South Africa & North, Central or South America will also be rebooked by IB via LON on IB marketed flights operated by BA and once again tickets can be reissued by the agencies.
