Hello everybody,

what I can offer is not a "real" live blog, since it's delayed by exactly one year but to re-live my nearly 3500km walk once again, I'm posting the current day of last year daily here:

Wow, Innsbruck to Finistera is quite the journey - I will definitely be checking out your blog!

After walking the Camino in June of last year I ended up falling in love with an Austrian and we now live in Tirol. In an amazing bit of providence the apartment we found is right on the Camino route. So, every day that I go for a walk I am kept company by the yellow arrows and shells that now mean so much to me.

I have wondered since moving here what the journey would be like if I just left from my doorstep, so am very excited to read about your experience! Thanks for writing it all down.

I have walked in the last 2 years the following, Camino Frances and on to Finnestere, Le Puy To SJPDP, PART of Camino Norde, Via de La Plata and on to Finisterre via Muxia, Camino Mozarabe and on to Salamaca. Porto to Santiago (and the gr10).

In researching those walks I have read blogs. YOURS IS THE MOST INTERESTING WELL DONE. I cant wait to read the new instalment each day. People out there do yourself a favour and read this.

I'm sure there are other amazing hikes in Australia too!
And for me, a lot of the magic is in the walking itself, not in a particular route

Lisbon to SdC 2013

I've been reading your blog and enjoying it immensely. I'll be walking from Lisbon to SDC in three weeks time, so i'll be trying to keep reading it on my own way. There are some great walks here in Australia and i've been enjoying training by doing some of them. Can't help but think that camping out as you did might be a bit more deadly here.

Hello, Still reading and enjoying your blog. Pity it was not a year ago and I would have recommended you to walk to Irun using the gr10, I done this about 2 years ago coming from the Le Puy route it was amazing.

As some of you might noticed, my blog now got it's own page and has been moved to: www.michaelv.at

Unfortunately, I won't be able to write a new post on a daily basis anymore, since there are other commitments which will keep me quite busy, such as working
I'll still try to publish a new day of my adventure at least 2-3 times per week, but certainly not in tune with last years happening
