Hi Everyone:
I am wondering what the availability of internet connection is along the way of the Camino now - specifically the route from SJPP to Santiago? Can one frequently connect? Is it expensive? how often can one find an internet cafe?
Appreicate any feed back on this topic. Thanks,
Maggie

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Hi Maggie
There was a thread about this not too long ago. Maybe someone can explain how to find it?

internet

I usually paid 2E per hour. check out the libraries, it is FREE, and also some tourist info places had the internet as well. some albergues offer internet by donativo.

On my recent camino (O'Cebreiro to Santiago), I was looking for free wifi connections (making use of my Palm Pilot). In the end, I only ended up connecting in Santiago itself, at the beginning and ending of the trip at a pleasant café called "25 Julio" (Av. de Figueroa, I think, just opposite the eastern entrance to the Alameda park). There were probably lots more opportunities I missed (and certainly some non-free or non-wifi options I didn't try) as I didn't want to spend all week ignoring the walking experience; had I not been with a group (and thus fitting in with an agreed schedule), I think I might have found more time to explore along the way.

I am currently on the Camino and there is internet in nearly every albeurge. Usually charging one euro for 16-18 mins. It varies.
