June camino from Irun - will a sleeping bag liner be sufficient?

Hi, I'm starting the camino starting from Irun next week, and it seems the weather will be low 20s Celsius, so I hope a sleeping bag liner will be sufficient, so i do not have to carry a sleeping bag. Just wondering if anyone here done it in June and can advise? Thank you.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Thank you, that one is inexpensive, hope there will be a decathlon nearby! Credit card, really? I do not have one, was hoping to use my debit card at ATMs along the way!

It all depends on the weather. If you hit a period of rainy days then the temperature gets lower and you feel cold in a municipal alberge or monastery dorm without heating. At this point a warm sleeping bag is indispensable. For the extra kilo or so to carry it is well worth it. I remember a bunch of us sitting outside at a big table, wrapped in blankets as we ate our meal, as the wind was cold, but there was not enough room to sit and eat inside. Also, some people like to open the windows at night which is OK if you have the means to stay warm, but uncomfortable if the blankets fall off you during the night. No intentions of dissing the comment above, but I didn't have a credit card and just used my debit card at ATM's thereby ensuring that the trip stayed within budget. Have a great trip!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Thank you both so much for your help, I am finding great advice on this website! yes I want to travel as lightly as possible - in fact I hope to run along when I am feeling good as I like to run a little so I intend to carry only a very small bag - I am hoping very much for good weather so I can carry very little I am very much looking forward to this adventure!

We are glad we have our sleeping bags right now on the Norte, very cold in evenings, but I do feel the cold more than most. Trail running must be in as on some of the most difficult paths men come running past. We were amazed.

Thank you, I will take your advice and bring one so Good luck on your journey, I hope it is everything you wanted it to be!

Unless I'm traveling First Class which is never, I always carry a sleeping bag. Be mindful that you get what you pay for. Whatever you get from Decathlon is liable to be fairly heavy. I don't know where you are coming from but you might do well to buy yourself a lightweight down summer sleeping bag. It weighs almost nothing, can be scrunched into a tiny ball and provide an amazing amount of warmth for it's weight.
I also found some of the albergues to be a little "nasty" and prefered sleeping in my own bag than using blankets provided.

Thank you, i have listened to your good advice and got a lightweight bag which weighs little!
