Next camino plans are coming together! Am very excited!
Will walk , with a friend from Pamplona to Logrono. (She only has a few days).
Then I need to get to Leon to walk the Salvador, and Primitivo. I can see that I can get a train from Burgos to Leon, but I'm struggling with the the Logrono to Burgos stretch. I can only see a bus or train that goes in the middle of the night.
Can any of you lovely people help?
Thank you,Helen

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi fortview,

my search show that 2 buses per day are on this distance, leaving Logrono at 12:00 and 19:00 which isn't exactly in the middle of the night And 2 trains each day, one very early 01:05 and the other one in the afternoon at 17:51. You can find that very easy on http://www.alsa.es and http://www.renfe.com.

Ultreia!

Thank you so much! That is perfect

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Does anyone know if there is more than one bus company traveling from Logrono to Burgos these days?

Hi Annie, there certainly are! I found it very confusing that there are so many companies , and I wasn't sure how to buy a ticket at the bus station in Logrono for the earliest one.I got a ticket with Jimenez, but there were definitely other ones running, that left before the one I'd bought.
The train though I found only goes at 01.05.
Hope that helps,
Helen

Hi Helen - I ended my first week of the Camino Frances in Logrono in September and wanted to resume in Astorga due to time constraints. I found it easiest to take a bus back to Pamplona and then a train which went to Astorga via Burgos and Leon. I arrived in Astorga about 1700 if memory serves me correctly. I did not want to arrive at 0430ish which would have been the case if I had got onto the train in the middle of the night! Good luck and enjoy! Mary

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Mary - I wanted to confirm what I read above -

You took a bus back to Pamplona - and took a train from Pamplona to Leon - correct?

We only have 17 total walking days and are trying to make the most of it...we wanted to go from Los Arcos or Logrono to Leon -- Maybe a bus from Los Arcos to Pamplona and then a train to leon would be best?

thank you in advance...

Estellesa operates bus service between Pamplona and Logrono.

Autobuses Jiminez operates bus service between Logrono and Burgos.

ALSA operates bus service between Burgos and Leon.

Renfe has stations in Logrono, Burgos, and Leon. Logrono is not on a main route so service is limited. If you want to use the train go to Burgos by bus and catch the train there.
