Luggage along the Way

I arrive in Paris to visit friends on Sept 12th then I will make my way to SJPP on the 18th. I will have a small suitcase in addition to my backpack. I plan to transport the suitcase into Spain, maybe Roncesvalles, then mail it ahead a couple of times before I finally mail it to Santiago. Then I will go on to Fisterre and Muxia before taking a train to Madrid. I have not chosen the two destinations before Santiago yet. I am thinking that I will send it by post and it would be nice to find a hotel somewhat convenient to the post office. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Burgos and Léon would be the obvious candidates.
(Main) post office in Spanish : oficina (central) de Correos.
Google and Google maps should be great tools from here.
