Hi folks - I'm walking the Le Puy in Sept/Oct this year (from Le Puy to SJPdP).

Does anyone know whether there is a luggage transfer service on the GR65/Le Puy similar to that offered by Express Bourricot along the Camino Frances - that is, drop off an unwanted suitcase in Le Puy, and have it transported to St Jean Pied de Port and stored there until my arrival.

Many thanks ...

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Hi La Malle Postale take luggage and pilgrims, need to book ahead, can do online

try / ask La Malle Postale whose HQ is at Le Puy-en-Velay down from the train station ... they transfer luggage through to Lectoure but may have an arrangement with one of the other connecting services [les Valises de Saint-Jacques, Transports Claudine] whereby your bag / suitcase can be collected there and moved on to StJPP;

if no-go then try «la Poste», the french postal service; friends of mine did precisely that and sent their suitcases through to their accommodation at StJPP where they were held for 6 weeks or so until they arrived to reclaim them; the PO at Le Puy is very close to tne LMP office on the other side of the street ... good luck Please let us know how you get on and what the response is as that info. is helpful to others

La Malle Postale are very helpful and they speak English. They may be able to help or have a suggestion even if they don't cover the whole route. They picked up an item I had left behind in a gite and didn't notice was missing for two days. They collected it and took it forward to my next accommodation, with just the name of the gite it was at and a description of the item. Very good service.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
