Minimum Cycling Distances in Portugal

Hi all

I am considering cycling the coastal route but wondered if any / many albergues have minimum cycling distances. Eg do I have to ride a minimum amount per day to be able to stay in an albergue.

I overheard conversations between hospitaleros and cycle pilgrims on the Norte that made me wonder.

I am not a strong cyclist but am getting stronger and enjoying it more than walking right now - I can do about 15 km on a bike in a day comfortably and will be able to get up to 20 or 30 by September - but not more.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

As a multiple Camino walker and hospitalero, I’ve never heard of there being a required minimum distance. Many albergues will require bicyclists to check in after a certain time in order to give walker the first opportunity at a bed. Curious what others have been told.
