June 2024 coastal route from Porto
Hi
Myself and my husband are hoping to cycle the coastal route out of Porto to Santiago over 5 days. My query is this: we are being quoted €480 for 5 days bike rental for two bikes. Would anyone have information or have rented bikes in Porto to cycle the Camino with drop off in Santiago when finished and would be able to recommend please. Or any hints or tips you can provide I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Are you discussing a 2024 trip as suggested by your name/description.

Amount looks about right given the cost for the main hire companies getting it to Porto and from SdC.

There is a bike hire company in Porto called BlueDragon that I've used for a city tour but you can ask if they do 1 way. If not you might be able to hire and send it back using Correos and their Paq Bicicleta

Thanks corned beef. I'll look into that. Yes a trip next year hopefully, June 2024

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
https://www.vieguini.pt This is company I'm using. They were recommended to me by some from this site too. They have one way rentals as well. Let you know after my trip in October how it went

Buen Camino

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

My wife and I did the French Way some years back from Pamplona. We hired bikes from BikeIberia (Lisbon) I think. They were excellent, delivering bikes/panniers to Pam, and picking our big bags and shipping them to out hotel in SdC, which we arrived to find 14 days later. We just needed to nominate our hotels in Pam ans SdC. The hotels were all good with storage etc.
