this is lovely and true. I wonder where bicycles and horses fit in?

Ah yes, nice point Rebekah You know what I reckon - anything that moves at the pace of the earth will carve eternity into your soul. Horses, yes; bicycles debatable. On a bicycle you have to concentrate on bicycling. On a horse, you get to just be, allowing the horse to take responsibility for the navigating the path.
