Wow. It's a private I assume. Someone had money in any case. I guess that the owner is hoping for an influx of pilgrims.

No, it’s municipal. Lots of the municipalities in the 25-member Olvidado association have been successful in grant-writing to various tourism agencies. But this is a bit over the top.

I'm in. I just need free time.
I have retreats scheduled already into 2023, making it hard to get enough time to walk more than 2 weeks at a time. Darn schengen visas.

I have been thinking about the Olvidado for years, but have hesitated because of the lack of accommodation close enough together for me to be able to walk the distances. It looks like it may be possible, at last.
